Girls on the Run of the Chippewa Valley is a local youth development nonprofit organization that has served thousands of 3rd - 8th grade girls across the Chippewa Valley since 2006. Their life-changing program inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a research-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. Every spring, over 400 girls complete a 10-week after school program that culminates in the Girls on the Run 5k, which celebrates the girls' special accomplishment of running 3.1 miles, many for the first time! They inspire every girl to reach her limitless potential, not just for the length of the program, but for life.
Girls on the Run is committed to providing their programming to all girls who want to participate. Fundraising efforts allow them to serve every girl through their Financial Assistance Program, and their organization has never turned a girl away because of her inability to pay. It's because of the generosity of their community partners, sponsors and donors that they are able to reach all girls in the Chippewa Valley who want to become a Girl on the Run.
